5 Panamanian fishermen who had been lost at sea for 35 days were rescued safe and sound in international waters by an Ecuatorian ship and the Colombian navy.
The fishing boat “Reina Elizabeth” had set sail from the Juan Diaz port in Panama City on March 5, but later when the motor lost power, was set adrift in the Pacific Ocean.
The rescued fisheremen were received with jubilation at the Tocumen International Airport in Panama by family members who had prayed for days, but had all but given up on seeing their loved ones again.
